1. What Airwafs verification means
Airwafs verification is intended to help users understand that Airwafs completed the verification process described for a particular account category.
A verification badge does not mean that Airwafs endorses the person, organization, opinions, products, services, or content associated with an account. It also does not guarantee that every statement made by a verified account is true.
Airwafs verification does not imply endorsement or affiliation by Google, any government, or any external social platform.
2. Verification is category-dependent
Different types of accounts may require different evidence because the risk of impersonation and the availability of reliable public sources are different.
3. External official-account verification route
For eligible accounts, Airwafs may verify control of an external public account using a one-time Airwafs verification code.
The planned process is:
- the applicant reads and accepts the verification rules;
- Airwafs issues a unique one-time code through the verification flow;
- the applicant publishes that exact code from an eligible external account they control;
- the verification post remains public and unchanged for the minimum review period shown in the verification flow, which is currently planned to be at least 24 hours;
- the applicant submits the public post link privately to Airwafs; and
- Airwafs checks account ownership, the code, the public link, category eligibility, and other relevant authenticity signals before approving or rejecting the request.
A code is single-use, may expire, and cannot be transferred to another person or account.
4. Supported external platforms
Airwafs may support public accounts on services such as Instagram or Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Supported services can change if platform rules, access, or verification systems change.
An external badge is only an authenticity signal. Airwafs does not treat an external badge by itself as sufficient proof of identity. Airwafs may require the one-time code test, a matching official source, manual review, or additional evidence.
This is important because external platforms use different verification systems. Some verification badges can be associated with paid subscriptions, while others use platform-specific authenticity, notability, organization, or eligibility checks.
5. Manual verification
If an external-account route is unavailable or insufficient, Airwafs may offer manual verification to eligible applicants.
Depending on the account category, Airwafs may consider:
- an official company website or company-domain contact channel;
- a public business registry or other reliable organizational source where available;
- an official government or public-office directory;
- a consistent public identity across reliable sources;
- an official public account controlled by the applicant; or
- other evidence reasonably necessary to resolve identity or impersonation risk.
Airwafs will avoid asking for sensitive identity documents when a less intrusive method is reasonably sufficient.
6. Private evidence and sensitive information
Verification evidence that is not already public should be submitted only through the private verification process provided by Airwafs, not through a public post or normal public feed.
If sensitive information is required for a particular case, Airwafs will limit collection to what is reasonably necessary, restrict access, use it only for verification, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, and related support, and handle retention or deletion in accordance with the Airwafs Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. Free verification
Airwafs may provide free verification for account categories where strong public or official evidence is available, where public-interest considerations justify a free route, or where Airwafs chooses to offer a free verification program.
National-leadership verification is intended to be free. Other free categories and eligibility requirements may be published or changed before launch.
Free verification does not guarantee approval. The applicant must still meet the applicable authenticity and category requirements.
8. Subscription-based verification
Airwafs may offer an optional subscription-based verification program to eligible non-government accounts such as creators, businesses, artists, or professionals.
Payment does not buy identity approval. Airwafs intends to complete a preliminary eligibility review before presenting a subscription checkout for verification.
A subscription must provide ongoing value. The planned recurring value may include continued verification-status maintenance, periodic eligibility or authenticity re-checks, monitoring for material verification changes, and verification-related support or review features that are actually available in the app.
The app will clearly show the subscription price, billing frequency, automatic-renewal terms, included benefits, and cancellation information before purchase.
For purchases made in the Android app through Google Play, Airwafs intends to use Google Play Billing where applicable under current Google Play requirements and regional options.
9. Cancellation and expiration of subscription verification
Users will be able to cancel an Airwafs verification subscription through the applicable subscription-management method, including Google Play where the subscription was purchased through Google Play.
Cancellation stops future renewal according to the billing platform's rules. Subscription benefits may continue until the end of the already-paid billing period unless applicable law or the billing platform requires otherwise.
If a verification badge depends on an active subscription, the badge may be removed when the paid term ends unless the account separately qualifies for a free verification route.
Canceling verification does not delete the user's Airwafs account or prevent ordinary use of Airwafs.
10. Rejection and payment protection
Where practical, Airwafs will avoid charging for subscription verification before preliminary eligibility is approved.
If a verification request is rejected before subscription purchase, no verification subscription is required. If a purchase has already occurred because of a technical or platform-specific flow, refund handling will follow applicable Google Play rules, applicable law, and the terms shown to the user at purchase.
11. Verification review status
The verification flow may show statuses such as rules accepted, code issued, evidence or link submitted, waiting for the required public-post period, under review, additional information needed, approved, rejected, expired, or manual review.
Airwafs does not promise a fixed review time for every verification request. Higher-risk or public-interest accounts may require additional review.
12. When verification may be denied or removed
Airwafs may deny, pause, re-review, or remove verification if:
- the applicant cannot demonstrate control of the claimed account or identity;
- submitted information is false, altered, misleading, expired, or cannot be verified;
- the verified account is sold, transferred, or materially changes identity;
- the account impersonates or falsely suggests affiliation with another person, company, government, or organization;
- the account no longer meets the applicable category or subscription requirements;
- fraud, abuse, or circumvention of the verification system is detected; or
- serious or repeated violations justify removal under Airwafs policies.
13. Government and public-office safeguards
Airwafs will not treat payment, popularity, follower count, or an ordinary external blue badge as sufficient proof that an account represents a government, public office, or national leader.
Government and national-leadership verification must rely on official or comparably strong sources. Airwafs may decline verification where official status cannot be established with sufficient confidence.
A government-related badge on Airwafs confirms only the Airwafs verification category. It does not mean Airwafs is a government service or is endorsed by a government.
14. Impersonation and badge misuse
Verification badges may not be sold, rented, transferred, copied, or used to make another account appear verified.
Users may not alter profile information in a way intended to make an Airwafs verification badge falsely represent another person, organization, office, or category.
15. Appeals and re-review
Where a review option is available, an applicant may ask Airwafs to reconsider a verification decision or provide additional evidence. A re-review does not guarantee approval.
Airwafs may also re-check an approved account later if material authenticity, ownership, category, safety, or subscription information changes.
16. Verification is separate from content ranking
Verification does not guarantee greater reach, favorable moderation treatment, immunity from Community Guidelines, or automatic promotion of content.
Verified and unverified users remain subject to the same core safety and content rules, except where a feature or legal requirement legitimately differs by account category.
17. Changes to verification programs
Airwafs may add, remove, rename, or change verification categories, evidence methods, subscription benefits, pricing, supported external platforms, or review procedures as the service develops.
If a material change affects an active paid subscription, Airwafs will provide the disclosures or notice required by the billing platform and applicable law.
